AT BREAK OF DAY by Noël Greig
A journey through time and place in which all are seeking to turn the corner and find hope.
A landscape where the old maps and compasses are of no help.
We commissioned this play from Noël in 1998 and explored the themes and ideas in it in a series of workshops in Barnet, London and Deal in England and in Port Elizabeth in South Africa.
A first draft was read and workshopped in Port Elizabeth and the second draft rehearsed in Deal before opening at the Hong Kong City Festival on 26th January 2000.
The play toured to Dartford, Deal, Dover, Brighton, Margate and Barnet in England; The Africa Centre and Half Moon Young People's Theatre in London and then to Africa
