A
WINTERS’ TALE
and
THE
TAMING OF THE SHREW
two of
Shakespeare’s best loved plays
reduced and combined into one special evening.

PAULINA
The story of ‘A Winter’s Tale’ told through the words of one of its
leading characters. Engaging with the audience in a staging that
imagines the other characters and with a few touches of theatrical magic
along the way, the play is a strong, moving and virtuoso performance
that grips with its power and focus.
ASHAMED
TO KISS
The fiery story of ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ with Kate and Petruchio’s
wild wooing erupting in, around and about the audience who are caught up
in the crazy, loud and lurid lovemaking of two feisty people caught up
in an unlikely love match. It’s a colourful and laughter-filled
occasion.
Each piece runs at around 30 minutes.
The can be performed individually or as a double bill.
PAULINA is performed by one actress.
ASHAMED TO KISS is performed by two actresses.
Both are ideally played with the audience in a circle of chairs around
the acting area, but can be adapted to different situations.
